Old River Masonic Lodge # 1442 received a charter from the Grand Lodge Of Texas in 1977.   Meetings were originally held in the old Mont Belvieu Police Department building, then in the old Mont Belvieu Post Office building on Barbers Hill.  In 1991 Grand Master Fred Allen broke ground for the new lodge building.  In 1993 the brethren dedicated the new building located on F.M. 565 in the new site of  Mont Belvieu on land donated by the family of Brother Theo Wilburn.
